Royal Caribbean International
Newbuild Experience Innovation
Royal Caribbean tapped Spark to dream up new WOWs for the company’s newest Oasis-class vessels. Spark’s area of focus was to make the ship relevant for the Millennial generation through a revamped experience. Spark delivered a reimagined wing of the ship—termed “The Village”— complete with industry-first restaurant concepts, a multi-functional exercise studio, a vinyl store, a doggy day care and an onboard hostel designed specifically for this new generation of guests. In addition to the 3D rendering, Spark delivered a Game Plan, capturing guest ‘Day in the Life’ experiences in the new space.
White Space Innovation Sessions
TUI Cruises newest ships will deliver all of the very best features from their first five ships plus four exciting new areas. As part of TUI Cruises’ innovation process, select architecture, engineering, design, and experience design firms are brought together for blue sky thinking. Known for their guest-centric approach, Spark was enlisted to sit alongside international firms to co-develop imaginative, somewhat whimsical, on-brand experiences that could look great in marketing and enhance the onboard experience.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Custom Application Development
Norwegian Cruise Line engaged Spark to reimagine the brand’s youth enrollment and management experience on the eve of the launch of a revitalized kids program. Over the course of three months, Spark collaborated with NCL to craft a new vision for the application supporting this experience, supported by requirements gathered cross-functionally from the Information Technology and Entertainment Departments. Spark delivered conceptual wireframes supporting the reimagined experience, which has since launched on a number of NCL’s ships.
Odyssey & Spirit Cruises Core Product
While Entertainment Cruises’ largest fleets, Odyssey and Spirit Cruises, had long been viewed as industry leaders, over the years, their stellar experiences have turned lackluster. The company needed improvement highly steeped in strategy that could be personalized across every ship. The Odyssey and Spirit Cruises brands needed a reinvention and brought in Spark to add strategic perspective, execute and make it stick.
